Criosfera – O que \u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

A criosfera \u00e9 o nome cient\u00edfico de toda a \u00e1gua congelada na superf\u00edcie da Terra: calotas polares, geleiras , gelo marinho, gelo terrestre, lagos congelados, neve , etc.<\/p>\n

A criosfera constitui uma parte importante do planeta como um todo, proporcionando um efeito de resfriamento refletindo a luz solar de volta para o espa\u00e7o e causando ciclos de resfriamento de feedback positivo. A criosfera \u00e9 muito maior hoje do que era durante a maior parte da hist\u00f3ria da vida, quando as florestas se estendiam de p\u00f3lo a p\u00f3lo e a glacia\u00e7\u00e3o se limitava a montanhas em latitudes extremas.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0criosfera<\/strong>\u00a0, grego kryos (frio, gelo), \u00e9 um termo gen\u00e9rico para as por\u00e7\u00f5es da superf\u00edcie da Terra, onde a \u00e1gua est\u00e1 presente no estado s\u00f3lido. Ele inclui os blocos de gelo , os lagos e rios congelados, \u00e1reas cobertas de neve , as geleiras, os len\u00e7\u00f3is de gelo e solo congelado, tempor\u00e1ria ou permanentemente.<\/p>\n

O gelo e a neve na terra s\u00e3o uma parte da criosfera. Isso inclui as maiores partes da criosfera, os mantos de gelo continentais encontrados na Groenl\u00e2ndia e na Ant\u00e1rtica, bem como calotas polares, geleiras e \u00e1reas de neve. Quando o gelo continental flui da terra para a superf\u00edcie do mar, obtemos o gelo da plataforma.<\/p>\n
