Usamos o <strong>Simple Past<\/strong> (Passado Simples) para falar sobre situa\u00e7\u00f5es que foram finalizadas num tempo espec\u00edfico do passado. Como no exemplo: I visited my father yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Para fazer frases afirmativas sobre o que aconteceu no passado, basta modificar o verbo. A maioria verbos s\u00e3o chamados regulares e recebem apenas a termina\u00e7\u00e3o \u201c-ed\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work \u2013 work<strong>ed<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Visit \u2013 visit<strong>ed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, alguns verbos mudam a forma de escrita. Seguem algumas regrinhas b\u00e1sicas para modificar os verbos de acordo com sua termina\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/p>\n<p>Verbos regulares terminados em e, basta acrescentar o \u201cd\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arrive \u2013 arrive<strong>d<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Like \u2013 like<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">d<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Verbos regulares terminados em consoante e \u2013y, tiramos o \u2013y e acrescentamos \u2013ied:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Try \u2013 tr<strong>ied<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">cry &#8211; cr<\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">ied<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, nem todos os verbos s\u00e3o regulares. Alguns n\u00e3o seguem essa regra de termina\u00e7\u00e3o, e por isso s\u00e3o chamados irregulares. Nesse caso, nos resta apenas decorar. O legal \u00e9 que com a frequ\u00eancia de uso desses verbos, lembrar a forma correta de us\u00e1-los acaba sendo natural.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alguns exemplos que n\u00e3o devem ser esquecidos:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get \u2013 <strong>got<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Read \u2013 <strong>read;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>See \u2013 <strong>saw;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Sleep \u2013 <strong>slept;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Eat \u2013 <strong>ate;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Buy \u2013 <strong>bought;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Be &#8211; <strong>was\/were<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>E quando queremos dizer algo que n\u00e3o fizemos ou perguntar algo no passado? Para fazer a forma interrogativa, utilizamos o auxiliar \u201cdid\u201d e o verbo principal em sua forma infinitiva sem o \u201cto\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Por exemplo:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8211;<strong> Did<\/strong> she <strong>go<\/strong> to the mall? Ou \u201cWhere <strong>did<\/strong> she <strong>go<\/strong>?\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>J\u00e1 a forma negativa \u00e9 constru\u00edda a partir do verbo auxiliar didn\u2019t ( = did not) e o verbo principal em sua forma infinitiva:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8211; I <strong>didn\u2019t go<\/strong> to the park yesterday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Muito comumente, o Simple Past ser\u00e1 seguido de express\u00f5es temparais como: &#8220;yesterday&#8221;, &#8220;last night&#8221;, &#8220;a week ago&#8221;, &#8220;in 2010&#8221;, &#8220;when I was 3 years old&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Izabella Paladine<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O que \u00e9 o\u00a0Simple Past?
