L\u00e1 est\u00e3o alguns dos maiores cart\u00f5es postais      da cidade: o port\u00e3o de Brandenburgo, com os ursos representando a unidade      das na\u00e7\u00f5es, o Parlamento e a rua Unter den Linen, que leva a uma outra pra\u00e7a      fabulosa, a Babel Platz. <\/p>\n<p>L\u00e1 est\u00e3o pr\u00e9dios hist\u00f3ricos como a \u00f3pera (Deutsche Staatoper), a Universidade      Humboldt, onde estudaram Marx, Einstein e os irm\u00e3os Grimm, e o Neue Wache,      monumento constru\u00eddo em homenagem aos her\u00f3is da Primeira Guerra. Mais adiante,      est\u00e1 a rua Friedrichstrasse. <\/p>\n<p>Aqui, al\u00e9m de muitas lojas, est\u00e1 o Checkpoint Charlie, ponto de passagem      mais famoso entre os lados oriental e ocidental, que registrou 239 mortes. A pra\u00e7a recebeu o nome      do franc\u00eas capital de Paris em honra dos anti-Napole\u00e3o Aliados ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o de      Paris em 1814 , e \u00e9 um dos principais pontos focais da cidade.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Hist\u00f3ria <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>O      Port\u00e3o de Brandemburgo, em 1871, com decora\u00e7\u00f5es e vitoriosos prussianos tropas      ap\u00f3s a Guerra Franco-Prussiana.<\/p>\n<p>Pariser Platz \u00e9 o quadrado imediatamente atr\u00e1s do Port\u00e3o de Brandemburgo      ao aproximar-se do centro de Berlim a partir do Tiergarten , a oeste. O neo-cl\u00e1ssico      Port\u00e3o de Brandemburgo foi conclu\u00edda no in\u00edcio dos anos 1790 por Carl Gotthard      Langhans. <\/p>\n<p>At\u00e9 1814, o quadrado era conhecido simplesmente como Quarr\u00e9 ou Viereck (a      Square). Em mar\u00e7o de 1814, quando as tropas prussianas, juntamente com os      outros Aliados capturaram Paris ap\u00f3s a derrubada de Napole\u00e3o, foi rebatizado      Pariser Platz para marcar este triunfo.<\/p>\n<p>O      Port\u00e3o de Brandemburgo foi o principal port\u00e3o no lado ocidental do Muro Customs      que cercava a cidade no s\u00e9culo XVIII, e a Pariser Platz \u00e9 no extremo oeste      da avenida Unter den Linden , o eixo cerimonial da cidade, at\u00e9 que as tropas      vitoriosas de todos os regimes dos Hohenzollern \u00e0 Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica Alem\u00e3      ter marchado em triunfo.<\/p>\n<p>Antes      da Segunda Guerra Mundial , Pariser Platz era a pra\u00e7a mais grandiosa em Berlim,      ladeado pelos norte-americanos e franceses embaixadas , o melhor hotel (o      Adlon Hotel ), a Academia das Artes , e v\u00e1rios blocos de apartamentos e escrit\u00f3rios.<\/p>\n<p>Durante os \u00faltimos anos da II Guerra Mundial, todos os pr\u00e9dios ao redor da      pra\u00e7a foram transformados a escombros por ataques a\u00e9reos e pesado bombardeio      de artilharia. A \u00fanica estrutura de p\u00e9 esquerdo, nas ru\u00ednas da Pariser Platz      foi o Brandenburg Gate, que foi restaurado pelos governos de Berlim Oriental      e Berlim Ocidental. <\/p>\n<p>Depois da guerra, e, especialmente, com a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do Muro de Berlim ,      a pra\u00e7a foi devastada e tornou-se parte da zona da morte dividindo a cidade.<\/p>\n<p>Quando a cidade foi reunificada em 1990, houve um amplo consenso de que a      Pariser Platz deve ser feita em um espa\u00e7o urbano bem novamente. A esta\u00e7\u00e3o de S-Bahn foi inaugurado em 1936 com o nome de Unter      den Linden e foi fechada em 1961, com a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do Muro de Berlim , tornando-se      um dos de Berlim esta\u00e7\u00f5es fantasma . Reabriu em 1 de setembro de 1990.<br \/>\n     A pra\u00e7a em si \u00e9 fechado ao tr\u00e1fego autom\u00f3vel, mas \u00e9 servida por linhas de      \u00f4nibus locais nas proximidades.<\/p>\n<p
