Foto: Jefferson Pancieri\/SPTuris.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0zona leste\u00a0abriga o\u00a0templo mais antigo      da cidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. Sob a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o do carpinteiro e bandeirante Fern\u00e3o      Munhoz, aCapela de S\u00e3o Miguel Arcanjo\u00a0foi constru\u00edda pelos\u00a0\u00edndios      guaianases, no ano de\u00a01622. A igreja foi um dos\u00a0primeiros      pr\u00e9dios tombados\u00a0pelo\u00a0Patrim\u00f4nio Hist\u00f3rico e Art\u00edstico      Nacional\u00a0(atual\u00a0Iphan).<\/p>\n<p>Em 1938, quase tr\u00eas s\u00e9culos depois da sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o, a capela dos \u00cdndios      (como \u00e9 conhecida), descaracterizada e praticamente destru\u00edda, passou por      um processo de revitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/p>\n<p>Foi um trabalho minucioso em busca de suas origens com o objetivo de manter      a autenticidade de sua arquitetura e de seus elementos art\u00edsticos. <\/p>\n<p>Pinturas do per\u00edodo colonial paulista, arte barroca e tra\u00e7ados incas foram      encontrados. A recupera\u00e7\u00e3o inclu\u00eda ainda o resgate de pe\u00e7as e ornamentos de      madeiras vendidos a antiqu\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n<p>E com a id\u00e9ia de dar mais visibilidade \u00e0 capela, a Pra\u00e7a Aleixo Monteiro      Mafra, em frente, tamb\u00e9m foi restaurada. Implantou-se uma \u00e1rea ajardinada      e foram retiradas constru\u00e7\u00f5es que impediam a vis\u00e3o da igreja.<\/p>\n<p>Para preserva\u00e7\u00e3o da Casa, houve um acordo com a sociedade em suspender o      uso religioso. Optou-se em organizar visita\u00e7\u00f5es, com vitrines, pain\u00e9is e placas,      onde ser\u00e3o apresentadas pesquisas arqueol\u00f3gicas, hist\u00f3ria e influ\u00eancia dos      povos da regi\u00e3o (\u00edndios, jesu\u00edtas, franciscanos, colonizadores, imigrantes      nordestinos), demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o do processo de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de cer\u00e2mica ind\u00edgena,      totens que tratam da arte de elementos como altares, p\u00falpito, coro e pia batismal,      acervo com imagens de santos, entre outros. <\/p>\n<p>O programa conta ainda com palestras e oficinas visando \u00e0 conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o      da necessidade de preservar o bem tombado.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capela de S\u00e3o Miguel Arcanjo<\/strong><br \/>\n     Pra\u00e7a Padre Aleixo Monteiro Mafra, 11 &#8211; S\u00e3o Miguel Paulista<br \/>\n<strong>Tel.:\u00a0<\/strong>(11) 2032-4160<\/p>\n<p>Fonte:  www.cidadedesaopaulo.com<\/p>\n<h6>Capela de S\u00e3o Miguel Arcanjo<\/h6>\n<p class=\"google\">\n<p>A constru\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 conhecida como Capela dos \u00cdndios, pois foi constru\u00edda      pela tribo dos guaianases, em 1622, sob orienta\u00e7\u00e3o do bandeirante Fern\u00e3o Munhoz.    <\/p>\n<p>No s\u00e9culo 18, foi parcialmente reformada pelos franciscanos e, na d\u00e9cada      de 1930, passou por uma restaura\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/p>\n<p>Nessa reforma, foram encontradas pinturas do per\u00edodo colonial e obras de      arte barroca.
