A Teoria Populacional Malthusiana (1798)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Teoria Malthusiana da Popula\u00e7\u00e3o envolve o crescimento aritm\u00e9tico da oferta de alimentos e o crescimento exponencial da popula\u00e7\u00e3o. Esta teoria foi publicada pela primeira vez em 1798 na pe\u00e7a de Thomas Robert Malthus, An Essay on the Principle of Population.<\/p>\n

Malthus acreditava que a popula\u00e7\u00e3o poderia ser controlada para equilibrar a oferta de alimentos por meio de verifica\u00e7\u00f5es positivas e preventivas. Essas verifica\u00e7\u00f5es levaram \u00e0 cat\u00e1strofe malthusiana.<\/p>\n

O crescimento da popula\u00e7\u00e3o mundial devido, entre outros fatores, as mudan\u00e7as nas estruturas cient\u00edficas, econ\u00f4micas e pol\u00edticas e que garantiam maiores chances de vida, nem sempre foram uma coisa boa para muitos estudiosos do caso.<\/p>\n

Este fato observa-se na Teoria Populacional Malthusiana<\/strong>. Esta teoria foi criada aproximadamente em 1798 por Thomas Robert Malthus, um economista, padre e dem\u00f3grafo brit\u00e2nico que viveu entre 1766 e 1843 e foi colocada em seu livro Ensaio sobre o princ\u00edpio da popula\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em>, no qual dizia que a popula\u00e7\u00e3o tendia a crescer em progress\u00e3o geom\u00e9trica, enquanto a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos s\u00f3 aumentava em progress\u00e3o aritm\u00e9tica e que teria como resultado um n\u00famero maior de pessoas no mundo para um n\u00famero reduzido de meios para sustenta-las. Ou seja, muitos seres humanos para pouco alimentos. Propondo, al\u00e9m disso, m\u00e9todos preventivos e repressivos para controlar esse crescimento.<\/p>\n

\"Teoria<\/p>\n

Com a publica\u00e7\u00e3o desta obra, nos anos que se seguem, cunhou-se um novo termo entre os especialistas, chamado de malthusianismo, que era constantemente empregado para definir uma nova corrente de ideias que se encontravam entre a moral e a economia, sendo caracterizado por seu pessimismo em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao futuro da esp\u00e9cie humana, no qual expressava-se que em menos de 2 s\u00e9culos, a popula\u00e7\u00e3o cresceria mais que o n\u00famero de alimentos, ocasionando a fome em muitos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

O que levou Mathus a escrever essa teoria est\u00e1 ligado a I Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o Industrial do final do s\u00e9culo XVIII e o \u00eaxodo rural sobre o qual muitos pa\u00edses da Europa passavam, sobretudo, na Inglaterra. Al\u00e9m disso, este te\u00f3rico acreditava que a culpa do crescimento populacional era toda da popula\u00e7\u00e3o de pessoas pobres que acabam por ter mais acesso as chances de desenvolvimento da vida, propondo assim, formas de controle dessas popula\u00e7\u00f5es, para evitar que a calamidade mundial seja instalada no planeta.<\/p>\n

Entre suas propostas, destacam-se:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Pol\u00edticas que impediam a natalidade;<\/p>\n

– Abstin\u00eancia sexual;<\/p>\n

– Controle do n\u00famero de filhos por fam\u00edlias;<\/p>\n

– Aumento da idade m\u00e9dia dos casamentos.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Todas essas propostas eram vinculadas a uma ideologia religiosa e moral, predominante nos pa\u00edses europeus.<\/p>\n

Assim sendo, muitos pa\u00edses come\u00e7aram a adotar em suas pol\u00edticas essa teoria, objetivando o controle do crescimento da popula\u00e7\u00e3o, at\u00e9 hoje isto \u00e9 ainda empregado, embora seja alvo de constantes cr\u00edticas, que evidenciam o contr\u00e1rio do que Malthus expressou, principalmente no que se refere a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos, uma vez que a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o fundi\u00e1ria e o desenvolvimento cient\u00edfico-tecnol\u00f3gico e informacional fazem-se muito presente, sobretudo nos continentes do Hemisf\u00e9rio Sul \u00e9 intensa. Desta forma, novas teorias demogr\u00e1ficas foram criadas, como a Neomalthusiana e a Reformista.<\/p>\n
