En espa\u00f1ol existe, por un lado, el g\u00e9nero natural de los seres animados (personas y animales) y, por el otro lado, el g\u00e9nero gramatical de los seres inanimados (cosas).<\/p>\n

G\u00e9nero Natural<\/h4>\n

1.<\/b> Cuando el Sustantivo termina en -o en el masculino, hace el femenino con -a.<\/p>\n

G\u00e9nero Gramatical<\/h4>\n

Este g\u00e9nero es arbitrario. No obstante hay una serie de reglas pr\u00e1cticas:<\/p>\n

1. Los Sustantivos terminados en vocal:<\/b><\/p>\n

En -o: l<\/b>a mayor\u00eda son masculinos.
\nEjemplos:<\/b> El dinero, el cigarro.
\nAlgunas excepciones:<\/b> La mano, la radio, la foto, la moto.<\/p>\n

En -a: <\/b>la mayor\u00eda son femeninos.
\nEjemplo:<\/b> La casa, la estrella.
\nAlgunas excepciones:<\/b> El idioma, el d\u00eda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2. Los sustantivos terminados en consonante son de ambos.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ejemplos:<\/b> el \u00e1rbol, el autob\u00fas, el coraz\u00f3n, el avi\u00f3n, la pared, la educaci\u00f3n.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Substantivos de Significado Contr\u00e1rio<\/h4>\n

Existen algunos Sustantivos que significan lo contrario dependiendo de si van en masculino o en femenino.<\/p>\n

Ejemplos:<\/b> El polic\u00eda (persona), la polic\u00eda (organizaci\u00f3n), el capital (dinero), la capital (ciudad).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
